Then individually/in groups to match the characteristics to the 3 main areas (Playing & Learning, Active Learning, Creating é thinking Critically). To then find an observation and discuss the characteristics that child has displayed.

This is a short introductory presentation to the mouse. It is designed for EYFS/KS1 children, although may be appropriate for older newcomers. Introduces how to click, drag and drop. A simple assessment sheet to be carried out at the end of every half term or term to track progress across the ages and stages of development within the EYFS. Useful to track Profile achievement towards the ELGs, prior to June formal Profile assessments. I have attached an image of a completed page, with some comments added, as I did to summarise the Profile before completing reports. A report to sum up the achieving profile scale points for each child. Useful to highlight teaching/learning areas of strength and weakness in the child. Also, section to mention any areas the child is not likely to achieve profile points due to SEN/EAL etc. Section for G&T/scale point 9s. I complete once a term to show child achievement, and then sum up in the class version. Useful to show EYFS Co if they want further details, without looking through the whole learning journey.

A sheet designed to completed within a parent meeting. Space for child's name, age in months, date of meeting, meeting discussion notes, next steps/targets and parent&'s voice/views. This is based on an idea displayed by our LA (sorry, not sure who originally designed it)
